We trust that you will find out a little about us and what we offer to 4 wheel drive enthusiasts in the Nelson region of New Zealand.

The objects for which the Nelson 4WD club was established are:-

• The holding of functions and social activities for member's, member's families and guests.
• The holding of Rallies, Cross Country Drives, Cross Country Trials and Driving Tests of Skills, with Four Wheel Drive vehicles
• Co-operation, if required, with local "Search and Rescue Units".
• Registration with and co-operation with the Civil Defence Authorities

Membership of the Club shall be open to all persons and members of families owning or using a vehicle fitted with a minimum number of four (4) driving wheels.

Our club caters for a variety of 4 wheel drive experiences. Family fun trips to hard yakka drama. 

Nelson 4 Wheel Drive Club is a proud member of the New Zealand Four Wheel Drive Association.

Where's Nelson? The top Northwest of the South Island. We live in what we think is the best place to live in New Zealand. Highest sunshine hours, mild climate (we do see snow in winter, and can drive to it in about 1 ½ hours), but generally it's great in winter. Calm still sunny days and perfect for wonderful living.
