The below was written by Warren Blake. Thanks Warren Photos here Trying to economise and save petrol, we cruised up to the meeting point at 80kph only to arrive late and get to do the trip report. Before the briefing, customs check for First Aid Kit, Fire Extinguisher, Hooks and Tow Rope. Some vehicles found wanting a digger and hacker!! Twenty vehicles headed off in glorious sunshine on what was to become a real stop/start day. Most of the tracks were through Manuka Scrub. Seepage from the hills made the tracks very wet & slippery. A number of bog holes slowed the convoy for lengthy periods while trucks were extracted from the mud. After lunch a continuation of the rough clay tracks which caused someone receiving a puncture, resulting in the convoy grinding to yet another halt. At the end of the day everyone was showered in mud, but a fun day out. Thank you to Warwick and the organisers. Warren
